Buy a couscous pot? Prepare couscous the traditional way
With a good couscous pot, you prepare couscous as it was intended: by steaming the couscous above the ingredients. You use the bottom pot for, for example, vegetables, meat and broth, while the steam passes through the top pot into the couscous. This way, you prepare different parts of the dish at the same time.

What size couscous pot do I need?
The best size depends on how much couscous and other ingredients you usually prepare.
For smaller quantities, a pot of approximately 20 or 22 cm may be suitable. For larger households, you can look at 24, 28, or 30 cm.
What to look for when buying a couscous pot?
Start with the number of people you normally cook for. Then choose a size that offers enough space for both the dish at the bottom and the couscous on top.
This way, you choose a couscous pot that is not only large enough, but also fits your stovetop and cooking style.
Compare the bottom pot and steamer separately
The bottom pot provides space for your broth or dish; the top part is intended for steaming. A capacity of 6, 8, or 15 liters does not automatically tell you how much couscous fits on top. Therefore, check what capacity the product states and how the parts are constructed.
