Choosing a set of glass storage jars

Which capacity is right for pasta, rice, or coffee?
For long pasta, the usable height is important. For rice, muesli, or coffee, compare the capacity and the opening, especially if you use a measuring scoop. A one-liter capacity does not tell you how many grams of each ingredient will fit in the jar: products have different volumes.
Also measure the cupboard height and leave enough space to grab the jar and open the lid. Check whether the desired seal is explicitly mentioned; a jar with a lid is not automatically airtight.
