A sink mat or basin mat helps reduce direct contact between your dishes and the bottom of the sink. At TEKZEN, you will find round and square Kinvara mats, sold individually or in sets. Measure the flat bottom of your sink and check that the mat does not obstruct the drain.
What can you find in this collection?
Kinvara sink mats for sinks of various shapes and sizes.
For example, view these products and compare the specifications:
- Kinvara Sink Mat – Square – 28x28cm – Transparent
- Kinvara square sink mat – set of 4
- Kinvara Sink Mat – Round 29 cm – Set of 4 – White, Grey, Black, Beige
What size sink mat do I need?
The right size depends on the internal dimensions and shape of your sink.
First, measure the flat part of the bottom where the mat will lie.
Cleaning the sink mat
Because a sink mat may come into contact with water, food residue and dirt on a daily basis, regular cleaning is important.
Remove the mat from the sink and clear away any remaining residue. At the same time, clean the bottom beneath the mat.
How to measure the bottom of your sink
- Measure the flat part of the bottom, not the width at the top of the sink.
- Check whether the bottom is round, square or rectangular and where the drain is located.
- Choose a mat that can lie flat and does not obstruct the drain.
In this collection, you will find square mats measuring 28 × 28 cm, rectangular versions measuring 28 × 31 cm and round models measuring 29 cm, among others. For sets, check the number of mats and the colour combination. Only cut a mat to size if the product information allows it.
Cleaning under the mat
Regularly remove the mat from the sink and clean both the mat and the bottom. Allow parts to dry according to the care instructions. Do not use a sink mat as a trivet for a hot pan unless this use is explicitly stated.
Combining washing up and drying
After washing up, let your dishes dry in a colander with a drip tray. This gives both washing up and drying a permanent place in your kitchen.
